Releasing Cellular Memory
Healing through Your Bath
Have you ever had the experience where someone touches you in a particular place and an unrelated memory pops into mind?
The image or feeling which presents itself is often called cellular memory.
This concept is based upon the theory that the vibration or impressions of what happens to you can become encoded in your cellular structure.
Every thought and event produces a vibration which can leave its imprint within our cells. This energy trace, this recording, is there even when we don’t consciously remember the event. There is even research in the bio-medical field that is demonstrating the chemical change in cells due to memory.
I want to share with you a personal experience of releasing cellular memory.
A naturapathic physician and medical intuitive, Dr. Sylvia Flesner, recommended what seemed to be a rather innocuous process. I really didn't think anything would come of it.
The recommendation was to take a bath once a week in my “normal” water level. Add to that a 1/3 cup of sea salt, 1/3 cup of hydrogen peroxide and 8 cups of chamomile tea (made by boiling 2 tea bags for 15 minutes in water).
All I was to do was use a washcloth, with no soap, and massage my body in a circular motion. While moving the washcloth on my body I was to verbally tell my body how much I loved it.
She asked that I do this once a week for about 20-30 minutes each time.
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? I suggest you try it and discover if it is simple for you.
The first time I did this I was overwhelmed with sadness. I had not loved my physical body and have struggled with the way my body looks for the past 50 years. I thought I had come to accept it. I discovered I hadn’t.
All the repressed sadness and feelings about not having a body that was up to “standards” came pouring out of me. I managed to stay in the bath for about 5 minutes. I released many emotions and tears that day.
Now it is 10 days later-not 7. I did the bath again.
This time, many images, sounds and feelings of being spanked as a child came to the surface. The pain, shame and confusion of those incidents came pouring out of me. I used a type of healing prayer continuously during this time.
This happened in about the 7 minutes I was able to stay in the bath. I still haven’t made it to 20-30 minutes.
After this experience, cellular memory is a reality for me. We do have a recording “trapped” in our bodies. For our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health we need to release those memories. This bath is one way of doing it.
Your experience will be different than mine. If you are interested in trying a simple yet powerful form of releasing the past held in your body, I strongly suggest this bath.
Let me know what happens.
